After the agreement with Renault F1, OMP Racing reconfirms the attendance to the Formula 1, signing a partnership with the Italian Team “ Scuderia Toro Rosso”.
On the following 14th March, which is the official beginning of the 2010 Season of the Formula 1 FIA World Championship (Bahrain Gp), Sebastian Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari, the very young official drivers of the Faenza team, and all the team’s mechanics will wear the technical gear realized by OMP: fire-retardant suits, boots, gloves, underwear .
The agreement also takes into account the possibility to insert into the STR5 cockpit, entirely realized in Faenza, the new and very light OMP safety belts, developed and created into the Research and Development Centre of the Genoese company after two years of studies.
The OMP fire-retardant suits, designed by the factory of Ronco Scrivia, combine highly technological machinery with craftsmanship; they represent a feather in the cap of the manufacturing line dedicated to racing and have been worn by the greatest champions of the four wheels, from Michael Schumacher, the Formula 1 seven-time winner, to the racing legend Ayrton Senna.
