The 25th Sanremo Historical Rally took place on 27th/28th March; it’s valid for the FIA European Historic Rally Championship and also for the Vintage Cars CSAI Rallies Championship. We point out the victory of Enrico Brazzoli and Paola Valmassoi on Porsche 911 SC in the third group and that of Valter Jensen and Erik Pedersen in the second group. It would have been a fantastic trio if the Lancia Stratos of Tony Fassina and Marco Verdelli had not been forced to pull out at a few meters from the end of the special fifth, due to a small crash. In the top five there is also the other Stratos of Marco Bianchini and Emanuele Baldaccini, fifth overall and third in the group.

Great race for Robert Kubica at the Australian GP (28/3/2010): during the first round he gains back five places and resists to the initial bagarre, finding himself in the second place. During the race he pushes hard and he manages to overtake Hamilton first and then Massa: his decision not to make two pit-stops, allows him to keep the second place until the finishing line. OMP returns to the podium after the years Schumacher spent at Ferrari. Kubica and Petrov wear the retardant sportswear of the OMP ONE line. The R30 single-seater has the OMP safety belts.

bsennaOMP defined the agreement with Hispania Racing Team (HRT) for the provision of technical equipment for drivers and mechanics.

After Ayrton Senna, OMP F1 driver in the early 90s, also his promising nephew Bruno wears technical equipment made by OMP. In HRT racing team is also the young Indian driver Karun Chandhok. OMP  provides all technical equipment (fireproof suits, shoes, gloves, underwear) for the two pilots and the whole team.

With this agreement, there are now three Formula 1 teams that are provided by OMP this season, an absolute record in history in the greatest car racing championship. The agreement with HRT in fact follows the recently signed partnership with Renault F1 Team and Scuderia Toro Rosso.

Among the great champions who wore fireproof suits OMP is Ayrton Senna, “driver OMP” from ’91 to ’94 in conjunction with 2 of the 3 world championship titles won in his career. OMP’s partnership with Bruno Senna is not a novelty; before landing in Formula 1 the Brazilian driver has in fact worn fireproof suits OMP in the Formula 3 and GP2 series, a springboard for young and emerging drivers.
