Victory in race 1 for Alain Menu on the German race track of Oschersleben (4th-5th September 2010). The Chevrolet Swiss driver conquers heavy points for the manufacturers placings which, summed up with Yvan Muller’s ones, who came third past the post with his Cruze, allow Chevrolet to keep the lead of the placings. Unlucky Tarquini had to abandon the race after he crashed into Priaulx.

In race two Yvan Muller retains the third place. Yvan Muller remains at the top of the general placings, 11 points ahead of Priaulx. Next race is scheduled on the Valencia (Spain) race track on 18th and 19th September.

Thanks to the constant and qualified effort of our Australian dealer Racer Industries, OMP is the main supplier of fire retardant sportswear for the drivers who will take part in the V8 Supercar Australia.

At present, the Beam Racing Team’s driver James Courtney is in the lead of the championship with 1947 points; he wears OMP. The next race is scheduled between 10^th and 12^th September on the track of Phillip Island.

Victory in the Barum Rally (Czech Republic) for Freddy Loix (Skoda Fabia S2000); this year he has three participations in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and three wins under his belt.

The Belgian driver has been very lucky this time, getting into pole position at only one special race away from the end. As a matter of fact, the race seemed meant to be won by Jan Kopecky first and then by Bryan Bouffier; however they both threw the opportunity away at different stages of the race… the first one by leaving the road and the second one by damaging the mechanics.

The next IRC Rally will take place in Sanremo between 23^rd and 25^th September 2010.

Great result for Renault F1 Team in the Spa Grand Prix (Belgium) 29/08/2010 with the third place won by Robert Kubica. The race was influenced by the rain that poured at two different stages and by the numerous car crashes.

Kubica unfortunately surrendered the second place to Webber, by making a mistake during his box pit stop, in a race where the Renaults proved to be on equal footing with RedBull and McLaren. Vitaly Petrov ninth place on the second Renault confirms it.

The next race will take place in Monza on 12/9/2010.

Easy victory in race 2 for the Victory Team with Fazza 3 in the Swedish GP – Uddevalla (7^th-8^th August 2010). The World Champions Arif Al Zafeen and Nadir Bib Hendi completed the 16 laps in less than 40 minutes at an average speed of 179 km/h and with more than 20 seconds of advantage on the second classified.

The Team had to make an effort to repair the boat after the unbelievable accident in race 1.

OMP supplies fire retardant sportswear to the drivers mentioned. OMP provides the Victory Team’s staff with the Stile 09 shoes of the OMP Officina line.

Next race will take place on Lake Maggiore in Stresa (Italy) between 1^st and 3^rd October 2010.

Autotechna, OMP’s official distributor for Slovakia, takes personally part in the slovakian motorsport.

The owner of the company (Jaroslav Baranek) was slovakian champion in the hill-climb championship 2008 category (diesel-only cars) by winning 6 of the 13 races. This year he partecipates at the 2010 hill climb championship (category historic cars) with his own Ferrari 308 GT4 of 1974.

His car is of the first production batch (engine number 00079) and was modified following all the FIA rules. At the moment Jaroslav is standing at the first place in the championship.

Jaroslav Baranek and his car are totally OMP equiped:  gloves, boots, underwear, overall – steering wheel, seat, harness and extinguisher.

The Rally Madeira (6^th to 8^th August 2010), eighth lap of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC), saw Freddy Loix as the protagonist, leading the race since the beginning, driving a Skoda Fabia S2000.

This is the fifth IRC victory for the Belgian driver, who has raced with an injured shoulder, caused by a motorbike accident which took place a couple of weeks ago. In order to compete, Loix had to use painkillers. Behind him, another two Skoda Fabia S2000, which complete the Skoda triple win.

Next IRC stage will be in the Czech Republic in the week end from 27^th to 29^th August 2010.

In the video linked here above, it is possible to see the dynamics of the accident, which involved Carvahlo’s Seat Leon No 75; an unbelievable cartwheel, which had no serious consequences for the driver or the marshals, who managed to avoid the car that was about to hit them.

In this instance, just like for the Formula Abarth single-seaters, the OMP products (HTE/743 seat, DA804 safety belts), consistent with FIA regulations, mounted on the Seat Leon, have performed extremely well.

First victory of the year in Spa for the Lamborghini Murcielago, prepared by Reiter of Frank Kechele and Ricardo Zonta, during the fifth seasonal race of the FIA GT World Championship (31^st July 2010).

Zonta had a good start, overtaking Maassen’s Corvette; Kechele in his turn, then overtook Mutsch’s Ford GT and took the lead, keeping it until the arrival line.

The sixth race of the FIA GT1 championship will take place in Nurburgring in Germany between 26^th and 29^th August 2010.
