Last GP2 championship race.
Couldn’t be a better way to celebrate the victory of OMP and Barwa Addax in the GP2 championship.
The 2 racers of Barwa Addax Team, Charles Pic and Giedo Van der Garde, struggled perfectly in a lot of races and brought their team on the top of championship with an advance of 12 points on the second team.
Congratulations to the whole Team for the great success!!
GP2 Valencia
Race 1 – After having started from the first line the young driver of Barwa Addax conquered immediately the leadership of the race, helding it with no problem for the first 22 rounds by getting an andvantage of 5 seconds on Grosjean. Unfortunately he was punished with a drive through for not having respected the yellow flag and so had to get satisfied with a bitter second place….
Race 2 – After many accidents and also the safety car on the track, Giedo was able to fight and reach the third place on the podium, which was very important for the positioning in the championship. Now he gained the second position in the ranking of the championship only one point late on the leader Grosjean!!
Charles Pic has dubled the success achieved last year in Barcelona, and is all the Barwa Addax team in general the great protagonist of race 1 of GP2. In this race Giedo van der Garde came out on top with the double-declutch BE in this championship making also the fastest lap’s time.
During the race 2, D. Closs of Racing Enginnering has been placed second obtaining a great palce for OMP.
Next appointment will be next week-end on “street circuit” of Montecarlo and we continue to win !!!
Victory in Monza (11th – 12th September 2010) in race 2 for the Racing Engineering Team German driver Christian Vietoris, at his first success in GP2.
Victory for Marcus Ericsson in race two of the Valencia GP2 Grand Prix. The young Swedish driver of the Super Nova Team started from the second place, thanks to the seventh place conquered in race 1; he managed to take over a race which has also seen the entrance of the safety car, because of a bad accident between Ericsson’s team mate, Kral, and Gonzales.
