AF CORSE, Algarve round 6 of the International GT Open!!

ALGARVE, September 19th – Stefano Bizzarri and Andrea Rizzoli, on Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, won race 2 at Algarve, round 6 of the International Gt Open. The Italian drivers of the AF Corse team finished in first position of the GTS category locking their third position in the championship. The same way, they can reach the first two positions of GTS standing in the next races.

Alessandro Rangoni and Luca Garofano, they also struggling in the championship for the top positions among the Super GT, took the race 1 chequered flag in 6th overall position. In race 2, their Ferrari 430 GT2 was 9th.

After the withdrawal in race 1, Claudio Sdanewitsch and Michele Rugolo, on Ferrari 430 GT2 (Super GT), finished in a positive 7th place in race 2. The duo is getting the good feeling with the car.

There is the fourth place in race 1 for AT Racing drivers – Alexander Talkanitsa and Alexander Talkanitsa junior – and their Ferrari 458 Italia GT2. AF Corse manages the car of AT Racing.

RED BULL RING, August 28th

AF Corse drivers gained important points from the fifth GT Open event, at Red Bull Ring. Stefano Bizzarri and Andrea Rizzoli won the GTS category in race 1 and finished race 2 in the third position with Ferrari 458 Italia GT3. Among the teams, AF Corse improves one’s ranking from third to second place (GTS category).

Luca Rangoni and Andrea Garofano were makers of a significant performances during the Austrian double race on Ferrari 430 GT2. They finished race 1 and race 2 with the fourth position among the Super GT cars.

Congratulations to the whole AF Corse team for the great austrian weekend!!

Barba and Kaffer are 2010 International GT Open champions

Alvaro Barba and Pierre Kaffer (AF Corse) were acclaimed for a long time from the Spanish audience. On the Catalan circuit of Montmelo (11/30-31/2010) the two drivers won the 2010 International GT Open title.

Extraordinary victory in race 1 in Imola (22/5/2010) for Pierre Kaffer (Ferrari 430 AF Corse Team), who lost the pole position he received by his team mate Alvaro Barba because of a spin on the Rivazza bend; he then manages to make up the lost seconds and to take over Raffaele Gianmaria in the last lap, winning a race which seemed to have eluded him.

GT Open - Victory for Keffer-Barba in race 2 at the Nurburgring complex

Victory for Alvaro Barba and Pierre Kaffer in race 2 of the GT Open on the Nurburgring track (Germany). Lietz and Pilet, driving Porsche, initially took advantage of the damp track, but the two AF Corse pilots, driving Ferrari F430, subsequently took the lead and kept it until the finishing line. The victory confirms the leading position in the chart for Barba and Kaffer, with 70 points after two races.
