Race 1 Gabriele Tarquini breaks through the hegemony of Chevrolet in the WTCC: the boy from Abruzzo wins the first race of the season at the Slovakia Ring with the Leon WTCC and Seat signs off on a nice double win, bringing Aleksei Dudukalo to an absolute second place.

In third place Alain Menu breaks through with the first of the Chervrolet Cruzes: with the Slovakian podium, the Swiss pilot significantly shortened the distance from the leader of the season, Yvan Muller, who was left empty-handed following a drive through that he was given halfway through the race for the contact on Michelisz’s BMW 320 TC.

An absolute fifth place after a race that was fought hard by Stefano D’Aste, who gained excellent points in the Independent category.

Race 2, Robert Huff broke the ice with his first victory of the season and Chevrolet set the Slovakian weekend straight with a convincing double. Yvan Muller with a second place consolidates his leadership in the drivers world championship, taking advantage of Alain Menu’s withdrawal.

Third, an unchained Gabriele Tarquini who tried to contrast the Cruze’s supremacy up to the last lap.

And they’re off again, destination Hungary, and the duel goes on!!!

They simply took ‘turns’!!

If in race 1 Yvan Muller gave it his all and beat everyone,followed by Robert Huff and Alain Menu.

In race 2, the inverted starting line up did not stop the Cruze from scoring another spectacular triple and this time taking the lead it was the Frenchman, Alain Menu, followed by Robert Huff and Ivan Muller!

Right behind them just a heartbeat from the podium, the protagonist of a weekend that was really fast, our man bearing the green-white-and-red of the Italian flag, Stefano D’Aste, 5th in race 1 and race 2, where he scored the fastest lap among the independent pilots just a short distance away from Alain Menu.

A less fortunate weekend for Gabriele Tarquini, « victim » of a series of technical problems, ending race 1 in eleventh place, and forced to withdraw even before the start of race 2 for a problem with front suspension.

No less was the teammate Aleksi Dudukalo, sixteenth in race 1 and eleventh in race 2.
